Speck PixelSkin for iPad:
The Speck PixelSkin for iPad is an excellent case for those who enjoy the silicon slip-on case styles. It offers good protection for the sides of the device, as well as all the buttons. The case is nice as it comes in multiple colors and it fully covers the back and sides. The screen is always something for you to worry about and this case is no exception. -- There're always screen protectors!
There are cutouts for the bottom dock connection port, the three speaker grills, headphone jack and noise suppression microphone, and for the ambient light sensor. Additionally, the volume rocker and orientation lock are easily accessibly as well as the sleep/wake control.
The case was engineered to wrap around your device precisely and it doesn’t leave much wiggle room. This is excellent insurance that your iPad will not fall out of this case. The protection it offers is very premium when going up against cases of similar dynamics.
Additionally, this case is a little heavier than what we would have liked to see from this case. Overall we can recommend it to those who want decent back and side protection, those who like to choose from case colors, and those who love the silicon case designs.
You can get one here for under $40. Also be sure to check out the review for the iPhone version of the Speck PixelSkin!
The Speck SeeThru satin is very similar to the Speck Candyshell iPad case. It comes in multiple colors and offers great protection for the back and sides of the iPad.
The coolest feature about this case is the ability to lift the bottom as a tab and dock it in Apple’s standard iPad dock. This is a great feature and we hope other companies follow Speck’s lead on implementing this on many of their cases.
The case has feels very grippy so those butter-fingers out there don’t lose their iPad from their hands. This is a great case to take on the road and has fully rubberized protection.
The case is smooth and has a raised piece on the back for ideal iPad table typing. That’s another feature that makes this case certainly worth-while as well as unique.
We recommend this case for its unique docking style, rubberized grippy materials, and it’s raised back. On top of that, the protection it offers is superior to many other cases on the market.
You can get this case here in blue, black or purple for $49.95.
